DRWF to celebrate 25 years at united through diabetes event

A diabetes charity is inviting people living with the condition to attend an educational event on the topic next week.

The Diabetes Research and Wellness Foundation (DRWF) is marking its 25th anniversary by holding its United Through Diabetes educational event at Chesford Grange, Kenilworth, Warwickshire, on Saturday, September 16.

The event will bring together Britain’s biggest experts on breakthroughs and barriers, including leading NHS healthcare specialists and people living with all types of diabetes, to discover the latest advances, techniques, and trends to help people stay well until a cure is found.

Sarah Tutton, Chief Executive of DRWF, said: “This unique one-stop-shop of everything diabetes will have specific programme content for people of all ages living with every type of diabetes as well as family members, carers, and healthcare professionals.”

There is only a limited number of places left and registration closes on Sunday, September 10.

Topics to be covered during the event include:

Diabetes technology
Diet and nutrition
Diabetes, mental wellbeing for young people with type 1 diabetes and parents
