Education under the spotlight in new Diabetes Times podcast

The importance of educating healthcare professionals was the main topic of conversation in the fifth episode of the Talking Diabetes podcast.

Laura Willcocks, Lead for Healthcare Professional Education and Training at Eden, and James Ridgeway, Diabetes Educator at Eden, discussed how education benefits diabetes teams.

During the podcast, the pair highlighted how the Eden team are committed to educating healthcare professionals about new and innovate diabetes technology.

James said: “We have done a national programme called glucose sensing in primary care, which we have been proud to collaborate with the Primary Care Society of Diabetes, Diabetes Technology Network, Abbott and Dexcom.”

Eden rolled out diabetes technology education to primary care professionals after new guidance on the topic was published.

James added: “We came up to the task and now have delivered a lot of education to primary healthcare professionals in the UK on diabetes technology and we are proud of it as well.”

Recently, the Eden team has launched MyEden – ‘on the go’ diabetes education for busy healthcare professionals.

Laura said: “This is really brief, interactive, exciting content for people who are busy that can walk around with their mobile phone and need something at the touch of a button.”
